I’m really going to have to consider this. I’m going to have to research other top of the line batteries and sizes. It’s ok for anyone else to swap batteries. But for me once I choose a size. I’m going to be stuck with it. The battery trays are going to be fitted snug between the tire carrier and fuel cell in the new bed cage. Everything is going to have to fit correctly.

I'm am really hoping they hold up because they are going to be right over where I'm going to bump the axle off of. They will also be exposed to the enviorments too. I've herd nothing but good reviews. Jacks is the first time I've herd of this.

Same! It might be a good idea to look into a warranty for your set up if its exposed seeing if it would cover anything that might happen. I think i saw @Ice Horse had hers in her bed exposed if i recall as the last meet ans great at toytec.

Yep, mine is exposed in the bed. I've had no issues so far. It does stay covered in the car port when not in use so the only time it's out in the open really is when I'm using the truck. I've heard so much bad stuff about Optima since they've made the production switch and I've heard nothing but good about Odyssey which is why I went with them.

Mind sharing more details on this? Where did you get the foam and for what size cases are they? I have several 1550s i think I could use for this.

I remember you did the GB on these. But I can't find anything on it. Still recommend them? Have a link on where to buy them?

nice I found that same stuff but it was only in 16''x24'' sheets.

2'x4' will work perfect. I want to use my military boxes which are 19.5''x31.5''. Should fit lots of tools with some cut to fit foam and such.

    Thanks!

Damn I was just in that area a week and half ago. Not planning on being down there any time soon now though.

Good to know! I really just need 2'x3' so that could save a bit of cost perhaps. But my box will fit 5 sheets so by then Im at free shipping anyways for 2x4s..Not sure what else I could use the extra stuff for. I'll have to look into getting smaller ones to save waste.

You're local! Go for it man! Long drive for me now haha

I have thought about portal axles with a SAS. THat would be pretty sweet, for about as long as I could hide it from my wife :cookiemonster:

You could "sell" the truck and do portals and sas then hide it under your mod pile and she will never know :thumbsup:
