What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Huh that's weird the analog one still costs $24 at 4WP, the digital one might be nice if I ever break my analog one. But I have a couple blow gun triggers from anpast project so I might just make one that holds itself haha.

 

Screw that. One more freaking battery to worry about in the truck.

Just got back from driving like a child trying to figure out some tuning related nonsense. I found a gas station near my house that serves 100octane so might have to mix it with some 91 and see what 95 gets me.

 

Almost pulled a third gen

 

Theirs a gas station near me that has racing fuel 101 octane. $8 a gallon

 

Damn, that's the good stuff. They had 110 too but it was leaded, not down for that smell for a whole tank haha.

 

Mine has been hassle free handling 200+psi from CO2 for years.

How did you store yours?

 

Can a guy order a precut key from a dealer? I may or may not have lost mine today...


And I guess I lost my hide a key sometime this winter.


Thankfully my trucks 3/16ths screw driver start....

 

Yeah, just need your Vin and registration papers

 

They can make you a key off of the VIN. They may require documentation that you actually own the vehicle, though.

 

Do ya gotta like fax em your papers or something? No dealer even close to me.

 

I’ll have to figure it out later. I just unlatched the back window for now.

I wonder if you just got a bum one. I haven't had any issues with mine, though I did replace the hose so I could stand up when I use it. I've been considering making a 2-4 port manifold for it, so I can air up more tires at once (and all at the same pressure). Seems like that could be convenient, though a bit overkill.

I don't see how it'd be any different really - I mean, it's gotta air up all four now anyway. I guess it gets a bit of down-time as I switch tires so the duty cycle isn't 100%. I think it'd take about 8-10min, rather than the 2-2:30 per tire that it takes now.

 

eh. Doubt that. Not like I haven't gotten as much use out of mine. Had mine longer than you too.

 

Hmm, makes me wonder. obviously your compressor flows more the lower the pressure is, probably just lengthens the time it takes to inflate by a bit I'd think. Also 2:30 a tire? That's seems long, thought the ARB dual was faster
