I'm gonna be stuck here a lot next month. We have someone going to a different unit, so I picked up some extra hrs.....96 of them to be exact One of those will be 12 nights in a row The only upside is that it'll all be OT

Hopefully I'll be able to get a camper shell or a set of SOS sliders It looks like it may be a while before I settle with the insurance company over my TJ. It looks like my best friend is gonna have to file a lawsuit.

It just amazes me. I had my Jeep towed to my house to save them the storage fees($30 a day and it will be 2 months 5/28) and didn't run up a huge bill at the ER just to get "checked out". I also didn't want to file a "loss of value" claim.........now that my buddy is having to get involved, I want him to go after them for all that stuff.

 

Might as well. If they can’t get the hint you’re trying to work with them, then it’s time to shake things up.

 

All I wanted was the $4900 from the estimate and $600 for the initial tow and storage. Now I want the loss of value and whatever else he can get. They sent me a check for $1475 and I assume they thought I'd be dumb enough to cash it. I guess it would be a different story if I hadn't bought the Taco a week after the wreck. If it were my only vehicle, they would probably be able to bend me over a barrel. With the truck, the TJ isn't costing me a dime to sit in my driveway. I go out once a week, crank it and then drive it around the neighborhood. I'm gonna fit over this. It's actually still drivable, just a dented tailgate and few other things.

 

Park it in front of their office. Bet you’ll have action by the end of the day. Right now their taking advantage of your good will. Kinda an out of sight/out of mind thing. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

 

They can no longer deal with me, they have to go through my friend that's a lawyer. He called and sent them representation documents. I just have to sit back and let him do what he gets paid to do He's like a brother to me, so I have no problem staying out of "the loop", I'd trust him with my life.

 

Good to have someone like that in your on deck circle for sure.

 

No doubt. He's kind of a hypochondriac, so I field his medical questions quite often He's been my best friend since we were 16, so almost 24yrs.

 

Right On. Most of the guys I know do corporate law & really don’t deal with the kind of bread ‘n butter stuff most of us go thru.

 

He mainly does criminal defense and civil suits. I think he'll even do divorces if they're uncontested.

 

First night of the week and nothing at all to do. I can only hope the whole week can be this way.

 

He'll file, then right before court they'll come up with a more reasonable offer but not all of what you want. So pad it well.

Insurance companies are slime balls and trying to get out at the lowest possible cost. They don't care about you one bit!
