You have to call your local dealership and have them do the inspection, your an 04 so you still have time

This is a 15 year extended warranty not a recall.

As long as the truck was inspected and undercoated by Toyota .

The truck needed to be sold in the covered Winter weather states.

The frame needs to meet the failure criterion you can`t just say I want a new frame

This bit is not correct. The truck is covered no matter where it was sold. There is an inspection and spraying requirement for trucks that "lived" in one of the 20 cold weather states. How Toyota determines if a truck meets that requirement is unclear.

First things first. Call a dealership with your VIN number and they should be able to tell you if it's covered. Some dealerships aren't as adept as others. If you are not the original owner then it's up in the air.

www.toyota.com/owners and sign up. It will have maintenance history if recorded.

As stated above, the biggest hurdle is whether the frame was inspected and treated by Toyota as part of the enhanced maintenance, this would have been done in the 2010-2012 timeframe. If not inspected and treated, you are SOL (sh** out of luck). Obviously, it must then fail the inspection. 10mm perforation is the standard, I believe.

You can also check www.toyota.com Click "Owners" on the drop down. Enter your VIN to check all previous maintenance done at a Toyota dealer on your truck.

Check into it sooner rather than later. Those warranty periods sneak up on you faster than you know it.
