    I finally have a day off! Between work, planting, painting my boat, 3 family birthdays, plus mother's day this past week I am beat. The last two days have been 12 hour +. We are doing a local schools prom this weekend instead of a wedding so there is about 90% less work this week for me. Just gotta mow the lawn, which I sorta enjoy doing, at least this early in the season.

    Howdy humans.
    Woke up this morning and flipped the news on to discover that I might not be able to make it in to work. Turns out there was an officer-involved shooting right down the road from my house, and the news channels were reporting that the main road was closed for a stretch that my house fell right in the middle of. Fortunately (or unfortunately, I guess, depending on how today goes :laugh: ) they updated it before I called out of work, so that my road was no longer in the exclusion zone.

    Yeah, domestic violence situation, according to the news. Guy shot at his wife/GF/bang buddy and missed, apparently, and then the police had him in a standoff for a while until he had a confrontation with one of the officers and was shot by a member of the tactical unit. At least, that's the early report.
