    Hi all,
    I ordered the OEM pads part# 04465-04070 which my VIN calls for. 2010 Prerunner V6. But they appeared to be shorter than the original ones, and they do not have the holes where the pins are inserted through. They look more like for 2 piston caliper, not 4 piston caliper like my truck has. Did they ship me the wrong part or is it some new configuration that Toyota make? there is no part number on the parts themselves so I can't verify this. It's Saturday evening, and I already have all my wheels off the truck. The pads I received from them do not come with anything else (like clips or retainers). I see the original pads each has 2 metal places attached to side where it makes contact with pistons. Any help is appreciated. I tried to call the vendor but they closed on the weekend. thanks.

    Sounds like you got the regular OEM pads rather than the beefier TRD pads

    Doesn’t sound like you received the right part. The OEM pads you ordered say they are for 4WD and Prerunnner trucks, and the picture has the slide pin through holes. Regular OEM and TRD pads, and any replacement pad for the 6 lug wheel should have the exact same mounting arrangement with the througholes for the slide pins.

    Might need to put everything back together and wait for the correct part to arrive.

    Yes you got the 5 lug pads for a floating caliper with a single piston.

    The pictures you googled are what the pads look like for 4WD/Prerunner. The pads out of the box are for a different application.

    I received the replacement parts. The new and old pads are identical, only the new pads do not come with the metal plates (2 for each pad) like the old ones. Should I be reusing the plates or no? These are the OEM pads that I ordered. They seem pretty tight if I use the plates. I'm a little confused. I watched the youtube How-to but none of them mention anything about this. Thanks.

    Yes - OEM pads require re-use of the OEM shim plates. Don't throw away the old OEM shim plates!

    Huh,I just picked up my OEM rotors and pads today and mine came with the metal plates. The solid ones not the slotted ones.

    Thinking that I may have screwed these up when I replaced my pads and rotors, can anyone one tell me which side the pads with the wear bar go? Inner or outer? I think inner I just want to be sure when I replace it all with the OEM stuff.

    Gray, Mine didn't come with the metal plates. I re-used the stock ones. Yes, the Metal tabs goes inside, they're anti squeak shims I think. I also purchased the rotors but decided to keep the old ones since they're still in very good shape after 98k.

    the newer ceramic OEM pads 04465-AZ-001-TM come with shims and grease and are less expensive than the semi metallic original pads, no shims, no grease version
