Hi guys! Soooo I was on Facebook last week and I found something HELLA cool. I bought A century Tonue cover for TWENTY FIVE ($25) dollars!!! Seemed too good to be true but yeah there was this old lady who just wanted this thing off her yard and maaaaaannnn it’s sweet!!!

So it’s in great shape and all the hardware is there....except for the clamps and this is my first time having one of these or a camper shell and I didn’t know there was soooo many options!

Does anyone know the generic shell/cover clamp that works on our trucks? Thanks in advance

Ps I’m trying to post a picture from my phone but it ain’t working out, I’ll post a pic when I get home from work today

I bolt mine down, but then I'm not looking to take it on and off too often.Even so I do remove it once and a while, doesn't take that long.

NICE! Any chance you have a Bedliner too? I’m ready to cut but just wanted to know if there’s anything I should worry about before pulling the trigger, I’m really excited about this cover doe.

Magog I feel you about bolting it down because it won’t be coming off a lot from my truck either (I have no where to put it) buuuuut something about drilling into my truck doesn’t feel right lol

I have the oem bed liner and that tucks under my bed rails so nothing needed to get cut

Forget the clamps if you do any off-roading where there are a lot of roots, rocks, and ruts.
When you mount your shell note that the inside part of the top rail of the bed is NOT perpendicular to the top of the rail. It bends towards the center of the bed a few degrees as it goes down. In the drawing below, a dotted line shows the perpendicular.

On each side I use 4 screws and locknuts to hold the shell to a strip of angled 3/16" aluminum that I had made, and 4 screws and locknuts to hold the aluminum to the bed. The screws and nuts are stainless steel. I know the drawing is not really complete but you get the idea.

    Thanks Sperrunner! Ordering those tonight!

And thanks skeezix! This cap is actually on my DD taco (the red one) but I will keep this in mind when I find a camper shell for my (easy) wheeling blue taco!

    I'm getting some mixed information.

Need clamps for a camper shell for my 2000 Tacoma.

    Do I want GCI's G-1 or G-30?

The website says g-1 but google revealed some people saying g-30?
