Yeah. It probably wouldn't work very well with that valet / emergency key thing.

    Why not?

I've got the "stupid" system... Remote entry in the bulbous head of the key, but I'm curious.

I don't have the keyless start / stop system (and am happy that I don't). I thought that I read the hidden key was plastic? If so, it is probably not something that you want to use in the hitch pin?

Wait a sec, you have a MT. That will work just fine with this. I was just talking about the keyless start key.

Oh, I know it would work for me. Just wondering about the keyless start thingie.

The key/lock variations continue to confound me. In the case of keyless start and an actual valet, I suppose you have to hand over the smart key, but do you then remove the "hidden" key to, say, restrict access to your bed? (rhetorical question)

I hear you. I like the simplicity that we have. My boss has had several keyless start cars, and they still have issued with forgetting the fob and using it in general.

I never felt that a physical key was somehow deficient. That said, I did like the location that saab used, near the shifter.

I had read a review in some car magazine where the writer absolutely HATED the keyless start system. He and some other writers were gathered together by a manufacturer to test drive several different models on sort of a group drive. They would trade off vehicles every so often, leaving them running. People would forget they had the key for the LAST vehicle they drove, and the individual driving THAT vehicle would shut it off at some point and then discover they couldn't restart it. Sounded like some sort of comedy routine.

I prefer the key system personally. I let someone drive my truck the other day. They left the key in the cup holder. I literally tore my house apart looking for the dang thing the next day when I went to drive it again. 45 minutes later I find it.

    The future is AWESOME!

    What a crock! :crapstorm:

Ouch. Considering that I don't like things in my pockets, I would be searching around continually.

Did the entire front bumper cover have to come off for you to swap the fog light area bezel out? I'm trying to take that piece out for modification.

It's all about personal preference. Both of my cars have keyless start and I love it. I find it much more convenient. To each his own...

Not today, but over the weekend:

Question - does anyone know how to take off this bezel without removing the entire front bumper cover?
