I have the trailer plate AD-55096. That’s about it.

I like the logic. Plate appears to be from NC. Insurance co. States they get no results when running it. Going to have to follow up with the police and see if they can find the owner. Even then the insurance company states it will be tough to prove who was driving.

How the hell do you end up with a 2k dollar deductible is the real question

I doubt that. I’m sure they have logs on who signs out trailers and with the laws regarding 18wheeler drivers now. I’d be surprised if they don’t know exactly who was driving it.

The problem is getting them to willingly give up that information without having to hire a lawyer and taking them to court.

I haven’t had to use my insurance in over 20+ years of driving. Lucky I guess so typically go with the cheapest premium I can get away with.

I’m 23 years old and my insurance is $450 every 6m for a $500 deductible. How cheap could it be lol

Each year? Dude it was one hurricane lol, and texas is a massive state. Hurricanes don’t plague the whole state.

Same. Geico has been good to us too. Loves them. Used to have USAA, very good as well, but a little too pricey.

I was stopped at an intersection with 2 right turn lanes, in the right right turn lane. No turn on red sign clearly visible. Semi pulls up next to me, rolls through and makes the turn on red. Cut it way too early and slammed his trailer into the side of my car. I cut the wheel and mashed the gas and got up on the grass before the back tires on the trailer ran over my car.

He didn't stop like he didn't notice, used the turn around, and flipped me off when he went passed going the other way.

Cops had pictures of it through the red light cam, they never told me how it turned out (and I never followed up because I didn't really care).

I have broad-form insurance so I paid nothing.

I have a high deductible as well. I see no point in having a $500 deductible if you are almost never filing any claims. Tacoma is garage kept and not even daily driven for me, so I bumped mine up for the monthly savings.

I had a co-worker whose car was hit with a metal object on the interstate, it came from a TT with flatbed. It hit her Saab just above the drivers seat where the windshield meets the roof. Shattered the windshield, creased the roof, and the center plastic area where the sunglasses holder was dropped onto her lap.. She's a super cool headed, she continued driving and tried flagging the driver down but he ignored her. She called state police and they told her that they wouldnt be able to prove that the object came from the truck and just took a report. Luckily her insurance covered repairs
