Use a box cutter or blade and do a few runs around each melted pin, it will pop right off.

Does it pop out through the front or back?

You make the cuts from the back, and it pops off from the front, you’ll see it loosen up once the pins are released. You’ll just have to press the two clips so they unhook and push it out from the back, it should fall right out.

This what the sensor looks like mounted to the knockoff grill. You can get the push nuts from ACE hardware to mount the upper part of the TSS cover. I used GOOP to reenforce the letters and its holding up great. You can also use the original mounting hardware too with no issues. The oem sensor cord will need the zipties loosened and mounting clips preserved so you can mount it on the grill. Theres no need for the TRD Pro cord as stated in an earlier post.IMG_20180512_182408.jpg IMG_20180512_182503.jpg

I bought one off of @durobs and its freaking great! He had an extra he ordered off of ebay. I own a '17 so didn't have to worry about the sensor/garnish issue.

Unfortunately for @durobs he did have to worry about it, so he had to go a different route (he got oem from a dealer out in Texas I think). But that presented me with a great opportunity to take his extra one off his hands for a sweet deal.

He had offered it on another thread and I quickly jumped on it, it helped that his office was only 4 miles from my home, so I got to pick it up and check the grille out in person. The grille looked identical to the OEM, and it came in two pieces, the "tacoma insert" was one piece and the rest of the grille another. All of the hardware was included and I was able to install right away.

The install lasted about 15-20 mins, and I just followed a youtube video, super easy.

So I ordered the grille from Trust-autoparts for $119 others on here have commented on and posted great pics of. I messaged the seller to confirm it is indeed the 2-piece and they confirmed it was but I'm concerned a bit at the picture I was sent. I sent another note, but curious if I should expect just black letters I'll have to apply stickers to or paint?

Who did you buy from on eBay - did you letters come painted or did you have to paint yourself?

Who are people buying from to ship to Canada? I can see Yan-linm 2 piece add along with a cheaper one that doesn't clearly show the two pieces some i'm assuming its a stick on.

Any other good sellers for Canada?
