I made it look easier this time too. Actually got it done in one pass no loosing traction to the point of having to make another go. You see the video on the URE thread that I posted? Matt (@SearArtist ) nailed the line perfectly plus e-locker doesn't hurt. That's like his 2nd or 3rd time up it. When I was telling him to go he was hanging his rt front tire in the air. The dash cam footage makes the run look so much smoother than it did from the outside and feels like riding. This was my 3rd time up Dutch as well and I think I finally figured out the route I need to take. I think my next run I'm going to try it backwards.

Not bad young padawan. One day I'll teach you the Jedi art of hauling stuff in the truck! If you had a diesel dually I know how to get 10k lbs in the bed of one of those :anonymous:

I'd be asking for extra money per mile. There is a reason why owner operator tractor trailer drivers make at least a dollar a mile more than just operators. Wear and tear expense, plus ins, etc.

#finesse as @Sandman614 would put it.

It was actually a smooth ride up too, all things considering.

What you can't hear is the engine hanging at 5k RPM and the rear wheels digging for traction since half the front was in the air.

Had one of these moments today.

On step 4 for tomorrow... rust makes David a sad panda...

Oh and why the hell do no hex key sets contain a number 7? Is that along the same lines as why hotels and skyscrapers don’t have a 13th floor??

I have worked with some techs from the N. they called the oxy/acetylene torch a rust wrench. If they saw even the slightest bit of surface rust they would head straight for the torch because they were so use to everything being seized.

Have no clue about the 7mm allen key (#7 hex key :facepalm:) Going to go check my set now lol

    7mm/#7 same difference lol.

Had I had a torch or a cut off wheel I would have used it but I was at one of our clients houses (I include a couple of them when I do work on the Jeep just to give them some basics and experience) and didn’t have most of my tools.

Going there tomorrow with a cut off wheel and just gonna call it done. Tie rod was rusted all to hell. Last tech that tried to do my alignment called me 30 mins in to tell me there was no way in hell he could adjust anything. If I had the time and money I’d tear the whole front end apart and paint it all.

I looked at 6 different sets of Allen keys. 2 were mine, 2 were other clients that had tools, and two different brand sets at Advanced Auto.. none of them had a 7mm. It was crazy. 1/4 was too small and 5/16 was too big. 6mm was too small and 8mm was too big. So maybe 7 was what we were looking for? I even tried to file down a 5/16 Allen to no avail haha

It may be an 8mm there is just so much rust and crap that it doesn't fit anymore. I have run into that before where I've had to clean them out well to get the right size in.
