I have 2 million, and it costs me about 150 dollars a year. It's attached to my homeowners policy, and an umbrella policy. I needed 2 mil for a hunting spot that I had at one time, just for liability coverage if I did something stupid, but it also kicks in on uninsured/underinsured pretty much any and all times, even while driving.

I've been with Farmers since 1983, and when I bought my Macan that made it 32 years straight. GEICO was 1/2 the price of Farmers for same coverage. I called Farmers and told them my loyalty wouldn't stretch that far. They said they could lower my rate by changing my coverage and I said 'Well, that's really not the point is it?'. I moved the Macan AND X3 over. Soon, I'll be moving my Taco AND home insurance (though GEICO only brokers home insurance with partners).

Actually that's not required. The insurance companies like to make you think it's required in Texas.

Depends on the state, in NC it goes through the at fault drivers insurance. Tell your insurance company you want to pursue a “diminished value claim” and they should be able to steer you in the right direction

if you have a lot of claims whether it be vandalism or at fault accidents your deductible can go up.

Or some just opt for a high deductible to have a lower premium. Mine is $1000 and keeps my premium down by over $500 a year.
I know many are going to say how much is your insurance if $500 is a discount and not free lol. But ya I'm in Ontario where we pay some of the highest electricity, taxes and insurance. My insurance is around $2000 a year and thats considered low for my age and location I know people the same age living in the same area paying almost double that for having one speeding ticket. Its fucking bullshit

Your insurance company will treat the crash as if the driver had stayed on the scene, but did not have adequate insurance. In Texas, there is a mandatory $250 deductible on property damage claims through UM/UIM insurance, but it will cover you, your family members, vehicle passengers, and people driving your car. Simply call your insurer and follow the agent’s steps to filing a UM/UIM claim.

    If this hasn’t been solved...

Post on Reddit, it will for sure and since it’s commercial and not personal? It shouldn’t break any of their privacy rules.

I will look for the specific subreddit.
