These fix a Toyota design flaw. GET 'EM! I installed a pair of these right away on my 2016 Off Road and I was amazed at the improvement. I also theorize that these prevented my hood from de-laminating from the support frame on my truck (resulting in the "fluttery hood" effect that some were seeing). These lift the hood easily and evenly to prevent any torsion forces on the hood when you had to hold it up with one hand (allowing the other side to sag) while you positioned the hood support post with the other hand.

Thanks Redline, appreciate the group buy and just ordered but didn’t see anywhere to put the code. I put it in the comment section. Maybe because I’m on the mobile version of the site?

Hey guys, thanks for looking out! sorry for the delay in responding. Been a little busy the past couple of days.

:spending: Ordered an Elite setup earlier today thanks to you guys!

Already have the heavy duty rivet gun Greg, and I see you're getting the same one. That authority I mentioned is my buddy in NM. He builds planes in his spare time uses this version and the HF air powered version. So if they're good enough for the couple of thousand rivets on a job like that, it's definitely good enough for me. LOL

I just need to find a good set of drill bit stops. I'm not going to chance the old tape method.

HAHAHAHA I wish Bro! Believe me, if I could I would. I have done all my mods myself so far (well, if you want to call the minor things I've done mods) but this is the first time for drilling holes. I'm already a wreck thinking about it.

I'm going to buy a new drill bit just for this, measure 10 times, then another 5, and just drill very slowly. I may even drill pilot holes. I'm definitely using a center punch. And definitely using bit stops. HD has a set for under 5 bucks. I'm reading the weak link on these cheaper stops is the set screw so when I go to pick them up I'm going to replace them with something proper. I hear bolts are better.

My first time drilling too. Glad I already have a center punch but I guess I need stop bits too...hell I was already thinking to apply paint to the hole’s fresh bore into metal...last thing I want is rust starting there as a weak point to the dampers’ clevis then it snapping one day and hurting me or my mechanic one day.
