I can’t imagine it being to much fun being on the receiving end of those. I’m always on the giving end! LOL but I will say it does make a night and day difference in muscle flip and recoil reduction. I have shot it with out the break and it is just a bastard.

Have you ever seen the pistol version of that? Has a grip on it like the Mossberg Shockwave. Making it totally impractical, but also very cool.

Does having something strapped to the barrel effect accuracy?

I have to imagine it would definitely affect the Asymmetrical pressure wave behind the bullet but obviously the chronograph is just there for measuring bullet speed and is temporary.

I was thinking more along the line of barrel harmonics.
When I chrono stuff, I'm usually always doing accuracy groupings at the same time to find OCW.

I don’t think a 100 yards zero in would give it much issue but definitely would start fucking with the math when you start doping

Now I will tell you, I own a crony Alpha, and the feet per second was just over 100 ft./s difference on two different calibers with the v3 over the Alpha. And I would tend to trust the V3‘S Numbers over the Alpha which is like 10 feet out infront of the gun.

I don't really care whether speed is displayed100fps lower or higher. The speed is just relative. Shooting two separate ladder batches to work up a load would be a magnetospeed dealbreaker for me. Knowing how fast the bullet is going is of no use if you can't judge which load is most accurate.

I agree, but I definitely need to know a accurate speed so I have a baseline for my ballistic mapping. An example of it not affecting a test grouping while using it, I was set up on my 165 yard plate while testing and it had no effect on my grouping. Mind you, its only 1 click but its still a grouping.
