I thought that dakine pad looked like the other one that might be the best bet to allow camera access. I went with the evoc for the easy removal straps, and better bike separator padding (which allows sliding the truck around dirt corners). I thought the evoc would allow the camera to poke out but no dice. No worries, I want to take it off and clean under there frequently anyway. 89CEAB59-D9B2-4993-B13C-7614DC03F020.jpg

    +1 for snowshoe. Have fun!

I have the same pad. been thinking about just cutting a section out, and having it reinforced with webbing/stitching.

Yeah, man. My wife keeps suggesting that every time I complain about it. Then I remind she can sew and I can’t. And nothing changes

    ...stuff
Why does everyone panic about the back up camera so much.... use your mirrors. The pad blocking the camera doesn’t make the truck unsafe to drive. It’s a convenience item, not the end of the world to block it for a day

Beautiful day on the trails after a good rain and some light drizzle.
Lonely and quiet, the way I love it.

I know, mirrors are always better. It’s just a bummer to buy a brand new truck (my first) and then disable a decent feature.

Hey I can comment on this- just got a Dakine pad this weekend, and am using a Bakflip MX4 tonneau.
The cover won't close (not even close) and forcing it certainly isn't an option....going to end up selling the pad and thinking of something different.
I'm sure each cover is different, but if it is advertising a water tight seal around the tailgate- chances are it won't fit the pad as well.

I like using the fork mount on the rail because I live in an apartment and keep my bike at a storage unit....but sometimes I get lazy and don't want to bring it back and forth so if its going to be nice I just leave her mounted up lock it to the bed and drive around showing it off for a few days :D

I usually ride 4-6 days a week so it would be nice not having to take the pad off and still use the camera. I park and back into a parking garage space so knowing how close I am instead of being in the aisle is surely a convenience.

Still need to rethink whether I should get a tonneau because then it defeats not having to take the pad off to close securely.

A very logical explanation. Thanks! I never considered that scenario.
