    well if you have identity protection then why worry? I have that too, up to a mil, so I don't worry too much. Obviously don't go clicking every link from an unknown sender in your email. Just be sensible

    they should just make every person carry around an RSA token with their social security... that would pretty much make it so stealing SSNs by themselves is useless

    I will say this, RFID theft is pretty common, so it would need to be shielded to prevent passers-by from stealing it. So there is still a security issue with that too
