I bought some sliders made by Trail Gear. Wanted to know if this is the normal fit for my access cab long bed. They are bolt on and everything lined up good for the install so I am thinking this is how they "designed" them. I built my own some time ago for a rock crawler project and I had them much closer to the tire than these. Seems like a case of somebody building something and not actually having trail experience.

Leaves the fenders vulnerable and the right sized rock would wedge into the space left between the wheel and the slider. Tail Gear - Do you even wheel bro?

Not all sliders are equal. I got mine from Mobtown and do not have this issue. While it took forever to actually receive them, they protect the hell out of my truck. You could always sell em and get others :notsure:

Trail Gear owns All Pro now. So it's one and the same.

    Wow, whine much?

Just pick the right line. I have these too but them welded on. Saves weight, and gives you room for bigger tires and fiberglass fenders.

But since you're such a great fabricator why didn't you just make your own

Mine from Avid for my Access cab are about 6 inches short of the wheel arch on both ends like yours.

Pretty much the same, about 2-inches longer. I guess that is just how everybody is designing them.

Be a smartass often? Give the guy a break.

Everyone is entitled to not be satisfied with a product. The full specs are not always definitive in website pics.

leveling lift, wheel spacers, yakima cross bars for the canoe.
Those are all too short if you ask me, I tried a few and ended up with White Knuckle Offroad since they seemed to cover the most area. I'm coming from jeep rock crawlers too, and it was always wheel well the wheel well, never leaving body metal exposed.

What did you expect from cheap bolt on sliders? If you actually want them for strength and protection you need weld ons. Return them and get some Mobtowns or another reputable brand. Problem solved.
