What's your normal operating temperature? Normal operating temperature shouldn't have changed with the transmission cooler. Mine won't even start flowing fluid through the aux. cooler until the transmission hits 200 degrees. It hardly waivers from there but will get to 200 fairly quick.
I wouldn't worry about 12 MPG (and it'll probably be more like 10 if it's loaded down), that's just par for the course when towing. If you rent a Uhaul, it's going to get similar MPG and you'll still have to drive your truck down also getting 15-16 MPG.

Yeah, that's true, I would guess the clamshell was 2300 max loaded but boy it was a parachute behind the Yota. My current trailer weighs just under 2000 lbs empty.

Your F250 runs at 200? Odd. My F150 ran at like 190-195, but the Ram runs at 170-180ish. I was figuring that the 3/4 ton transmission cooler kicked in earlier to give more of a reserve while towing, but if yours runs at 200 empty that holes that theory, lol
Ah, it's lighter than I thought.

The Sierra runs about 180f when I'm not towing and right around 200f when I am.

My F150 ran between 200 and 205 regularly. It hit 225 once while towing. After I had it tuned, it never went above 215 towing. The F250 runs at 200 unloaded and I haven't towed with it yet. The generally accepted 'red line' for the Ford transmission fluid seems to be 230.

My F150 sits around 180 most of the time. Haven't had a trailer behind it yet.

I felt it was high because the Tacoma sat around 130 unloaded, but the spec on the 10-speed indicates it's normal. When it is 130 it reads on the cold side of the needle gauge.

Just pulled 3 girls in a jeep out of a ditch on the side of my road. What's funny is they came the long way and made it 99%, then went around a broken culvert into our secret moat. Whole driver side of the jeep was stuck most of the way up to the tire and the bumper was on the mud. Luckily they had legit tow hooks and with the taco and some bubba rope I got them out on the first pull easily:mudding:.

Maybe 2-3 minutes before we had a van go by, hit something, make a huge noise, got out to check and decided to keep going. I said to my wife "what a fucking idiot, he will get what he deserves". A couple minutes later the dogs went nuts again and people were in our field. I went to go check ito ut and it turned out to be a wrangler full of local Cheshire girls doing some 4x4 after school got out. They had asked for the vans help and he told them "I don't even know where the fuck I am" and left them to the coyotes :frusty:. My wife and I are very helpful to off-roaders who maybe go a little too hard or try something new, our attitude is much different to mini-vans going down a closed road and hoping for the best. So hopefully mini-van guy doesn't show up anytime soon looking for help, plus it's raining and I'd melt.

Those roads are like a maze if you don't know them. I've been down most of them several times and I can still get myself confused.

Ordered a new cat-back exhaust for the truck today... current one is 190k miles and original. It’s splitting apart at the seems.

I know a lot of people would just change the muffler but I got a decent deal on a full stainless Gibson cat back exhaust system with a lifetime warranty.

Wow, that's really low. Then again, you have the new 10 speed and both my F150 and F250 are the older 6 speed design.
