Same here. My Audi, Jeep, Mazda, VW, and even GMC have far better satellite receivers than my Toyota. The issue is the receiver, not the service. Of course, I do hate their auto renewal at a ridiculous price scam.

Doesn't sound like you "solved" your problem, only buried it.

I'm HI, so I can't get it at all and I can't confirm this, but I believe you can go into the settings menu to chose what sources show up and you can also re-order how they show up as. Unfortunately, I can't get rid of AM radio as a source, so I'm not sure if XM is the same way. At the least, you could move it towards the end of the source selection list.

EDIT: I should also add that others found the quality of the audio much better when coming through the XM app on their phone (via Bluetooth) than using the XM through the headunit. Might be a better option for you if you have a decent data plan with your phone.

Yep. It's a silly game, but the same one I play with Comcast. Call to cancel, get the price you should get paying all along. Must be enough people to overpay to make it worth it to them.

Sorry @Cudgel that your XM coverage was so bad.

    It’s been super for me.

I'm under the impression that it's a latitude issue. I had an Audi A3 when I lived in Southern California and drove it to Seattle when I moved up here. Same car, great reception down South and worse reception up North. Now that I have the Taco, the reception is still bad.

I’ve generally had good coverage, I just can get past the “quality”. Every time I get a new vehicle I’m reminded why I don’t keep XM beyond the free months, barely above AM in clarity and dynamic range.

That's strange. I just upgraded the speakers on my truck so I'm really paying attention to how it sounds right now... I feel like the xm is on par or better than through a USB/CD/aux...

Hi. Thanks so much. However I have a 2.7ltr so old school filter beneath the truck.
Got er done. With a compromised filter housing ( hole from jaws type wrench) it almost was a tow to a dealer thing.
From now on it’ll be smooth sailing.

Also put in the subi/kicker tweets

Quite a few people have reported that if you use the SirusXM app on your phone and then listen to it via Bluetooth, the sound quality is noticeably better than the regular XM sat reception. Of course, you need good cell coverage and a decent data plan to take advantage of that...which makes it on par with other streaming services like Spotify/Pandora/iHeartRadio/etc

I just put on my 2nd pair of Bosch Icons. The first driver side only lasted a year but I think it got a flaw when my windshield was cracked. Had an annoying wiper line across the windshield at the center of the blade. Time will tell.

I’ve been playing that same silly (yet unfortunately necessary) pricing game for years and as soon as I call to cancel they have me a deal. Cable too. So many people out there are getting screwed. It looks like Sirius is doing a $5.99 monthly plan, which is what it should have been all along. Maybe they’ll figure out they need to get fair....
