I've never had a problem with mine doing Co2 with my regulator open all the way. Never ice's up either.

    thats true.

Needs to be at least 45º or more to vertical to operate correctly.

also what regulator are you using to only get 90psi?? @cynicalrider

Yeah it doesn't ice up where it freezes and stops flowing, just the reg gets a coating of ice on it. And yeah it is mounted vertically in the bed. I think the reg is a preset reg that outback air put on it. My outback air one looks like this: [IMG]IMG_0271 by Michael Halat, on Flickr

But I wouldn't mind the adjustable one: It's just so damn pricey.

Ah yeah the fixed ones are usually low. I bet the one you have is set to 90psi for air lockers. Probably not that fast to use for airing up haha

the adjustable one is worth it. Had a buddy with the fixed one from wheelers which is 150psi and he switch to the adjustable one after using mine it was so much better.

    What part of CA?

Go check a Pick-n-Pull. Other compact pickup trucks with 6 foot beds have similar shells to the Tacoma.

The taco might be back on daily duty for the summer, the AC is way better than the cruiser. :/ Like I had to turn it down because it was making me too cold.

Question for 5vz owners, is there a OEM valve cover gasket kit that you guys use? I purchased the timing belt kit already. Thanks.

I'm surprised how effective the Tacoma air conditioning is. The air gets cold much faster than it does in my E320, which takes forever even after the new compressor and system recovery.

Not really a kit. But an oem on is 34 bucks a side. If you want to super thorough you can get new half moons but I don't think it's needed. And you can get new rubber washers for the screws which I wish I'd gotten.

Ever done a Ford 5.4L Triton motor? Now those suck. The back two are under the firewall and they are two piece so they break stupid easily...

Yeah, out west they have a thing called Doctrine of prior appropriation which is the first owner to divert water may continue to do so, even if downstream owners get less water. Kinda ass backwards since water is so much more scarce than out east where you can't do that.

Ugh every day in Indy traffic. I sweat through my clothes every day. Doesn't help that I have no carpet either so the trans tunnel gets super hot and radiates into the cabin...

I have friends I do service for with that shit motor, I refuse to do plugs in it. The fact that Mac, Snapon and Matco all make a tool for extracting their plugs says Ford's screwed the pooch on that one, actually no they straight up raw dogged it with a cruise missile. Before you know it youre doing a HG job because bits fell in the motor upon extraction. Fuck that stupid three valve POS motor and the half brain chucklefuck that designed it.
