Yep free oil change, rotate and state inspection. To the dealships credit, it was done in about 45 minutes. For a free oil change when it needed to be inspected as well, I can't complain

No one knew how to drive a manual transmission......that’s just sad. Mine is an AT but I really enjoy driving a manual transmission vehicle when given the opportunity.

Better you driving it than them. This way at least they didn't hit anything. Well look at it this way they could have taken some 18 year old and trained them how to drive stick in the service bay with your truck.

Not all of our attendants can drive stick, considering maybe 2% of vehicles we sell are manual its not a big deal.

I assure you any of the non-lube techs can drive manual.

Absolutely. It does not take an engineering degree to change the oil or rotate the tires. All it takes is someone willing to work and about an hour's worth of training.

My daughter (now an ICU RN) changed her oil and rotated her tires when she was 16. I taught her once. She did it all through high school and college. Now she makes enough money to have someone else do it.

    It's not complicated man.

So did I. The old three on the tree. The driver education teacher was a family friend. He taught me in the manual driver ed car in his pasture. I was 9. It then became my responsibility to move the grain trucks around the fields and position them for the combines.

A few years ago my brother got a new Tundra so he decided to donate his old Toy PU (340k miles) to a convent in Guatemala. He and his wife drove to Guatemala from San Francisco via Texas; even had to deal with the Mexican revolutionistas in Chiapas. Took weeks, and when they finally got there none of the nuns could drive a stick!

Actually, that is a good thing. No chance some young gun is going to screw it up?
