I'll put you on the list.

Friday night I would recommend you camp in the Durango area. As you know CO is littered with camp sites. Coming from your direction, you'll gain no advantage trying to camp in NM. If you would like specific camp site advice, let me know, I can recommend plenty in the area. Saturday morning, you'll just be 45-60 minutes away (depending on your location). I don't think we'll start until about 10:00 to give time for people to finish traveling in.

I was planning on wheeling Saturday in Farmington. Saturday night we'll camp up near Silverton. Sunday I was thinking working over Black Bear Pass to Telluride, and playing around on those passes (Poughkeepsie, etc.) as time allows. I'm still planning the last stage but I planned to finish with more high country passes into the Silverton/Ouray area Monday. May I suggest you take the Alpine Loop (fairly simple but damn pretty) on your way home over to Lake City, then shoot up to Gunnison and finish the trip. You could probably get home Monday night no problem if you wish.

Try to get some armor. There is a good chance it'll come into play here in Farmington. This is particularly true if you want to not have to bypass every other obstacle. You are most certainly welcome to bypass most but it can be a bit anticlimactic.

I see you have 32's. Are those on stock height or are you lifted at all? I'm lifted just under 3" and the underside of my front bumper is pretty scraped up from approaching sand stone ledges. Our trucks' butts stick out pretty far too so they like to grab stuff. The chrome bumper is actually pretty abrasion resistant and the trailer hitch will take the brunt of it.

A note to all second genners. Remove the 7-pin plug (2 small bolts) that dangles down and tie it up on top of the hitch. If you don't, the trail will remove it for you. I learned that one the hard way.

Yeah they are. I hang with cliff often. If you make it out that would be cool. I saw the pictures from your bill burk trip. I'm sure you'd have a great time.

HBMurphy, if you decide to make this happen, fine. Otherwise, I'm going to close off invitations to new people regarding this trip. We are already up over 15 vehicles. In order to maintain a quality wheeling experience, I feel we are at maximum capacity. If we get too large, we will just end up sitting in traffic jams. Camping together will also be difficult, if not impossible.

At least for now, this trip is closed to new people.

I just edited the first post. Logistically, larger crowds will take away from the experience of those of you who have driven so far.

I lol'd. Actually, UPS should be bringing my front 5100s today. Wheeler's should be sending my 5-leafs and OME 881s any day now. Also, The wife and my mom are asking for a Father's Day wish list.:)

With my wife, there really isn't any convincing required. I just tell her what I want to do, we sit down and budget it, and it gets done. She's pretty awesome.

Cool! I didn't know you were doing improvements. Well than may I suggest a locker for Father's Day? The Powertrax is still cheap at a hundred bucks more than the Lock Right but it would have much better manners for a daily driver. It can also be installed yourself saving huge on labor.

Congratulations to you, I'm also married to a super cool girl. Sure is nice isn't it? I trip on guys that marry bitches.:notsure:

A locker was what I was thinking, but they haven't decided a price point yet, so I'm waiting on that to narrow the list. And as for dude's marrying bitches, I did that once and learned my lesson. It's not worth it. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found this sweetie.

Umm, Nicole, did you post in the wrong place? Who's Jason? Kidcatcher Jason? Is he bringing you on this trip? While you certainly look like a lovely young lady, why would anyone drive from Texas to Arizona, pick you up, and then go to Colorado?

Sorry if I'm just misunderstanding everything here.
