It’s not disabling it, you’re not cutting the wires, just covering it. Get a hitch rack or a fork mount in the bed of the truck.

I throw my pad on, and I drive the truck almost always forward, so it really doesn’t matter.

 

So you have a bike that is potentially multiple thousands of dollars, and you back up to a wall, maybe concrete, with that bike hanging out of the back of the bed and you get close enough that you need a back up camera to know where you are?

I’ve been using the Raceface pad. I can shift it down (toward the bumper) when the bikes aren’t on, and the opening for the handle/camera lines up. Camera *does* get covered when I’ve got the bikes on though.

Also, I just got the Bomber pad. It’s like a single serve tailgate pad. I’ll have to post a pic, but it’s an interesting alternative. It’s not a full width pad so it will affect less of the tailgate.

Flip side of this is that it leaves the tailgate uncovered which may mean the tailgate is gonna get hit with the tire more.

Dunno if any of that contributes.

Waiting on a new carbon bar,new stem,pedals and already got the drivetrain upgrade ready to throw on tonight!might just go up to whistler for opening weekend!

 

I like throwing my bike around a track/corsa and tearing up some corners. I'm guessing the thrill we feel is a little different but we still end our days back in a Tacoma so same same

 

Add it all up to a great time.

 

And your point? Isn’t that the purpose of a backup camera?!?!

Exactly, mine works just fine when I got my dh rigs on the back. Just need to adjust your references a little.

 

Def hipster central and full of women in the event you need a change up...but DH year round is where its at. If I had any motivation to stay on the east, that is where I would be.
