Pre 2012 I believe it was Silver streak mica. After it was Silver sky metallic. The silver sky is noticably darker.

I have this problem! Needing to get this fixed, but the dealer has to hear it in order to fix it.... such a pain considering I live in the city and it only happens when i'm on long drives. Any advice on how to convince them to fix mine?

There is a tsb on this, and you can find it here with a little search effort, simply print it out and take it to the num skull service mgr.

Yup,mine is doing it too. Plus the driver window headliner is constantly rattling, I can't exactly locate it.

Fairly certain the air injection pump could still have valve problems I think I've read about. However the foam was a worse problem if not removed before being sucked in.

Yes I do have the nav unit, I been searching around this question for a while. My rear mirror also has has a screen on it. I also have wondered why my camera doesn’t have the safety lines on it. I see that most Tacomas do

There are video’s on face book of the trucks doing it and the tsb can be found online as well. I went in with both and claimed the video as my own lol. They were actually pretty accommodating, as they get to bill out for warranty work I believe. Good luck and try another dealer if one fails.

Non issue. Covered under warranty. Just a potential inconvenience at this point but easily addressed as a preventative measure if you want.

I maybe a little biased here, lets go with the '11 model as best 2nd gen, none of the smog crap, also to the best of my knowledge (someone correct here if I am wrong) '11 was the only year with what I call the honeycomb grill
