I love seeing more 4Runners like this. I originally got inspired by @Happysmiley build then built it into what suits what i do the most. There's more coming up now and it makes me excited. I love how this thing handles and what i've done with it has been eye opening to really how great these vehicles are.

I can say from personal experience... never again will I go with off bolt-on kits. I built my Tacoma with Camburg front end, DMZ rear. My pops then bought a built '01 F-150 with a stock 4.6 with a Dirt-Tech race kit and Dirt-Tech race 4-link and that thing is much faster (mind you I'm supercharged with all the bells and whistles), more comfortable than my Tacoma, and still a street truck. One of the reasons for trying to sell it and building a Bronco (determined to keep 4x4 so Dana 44 TTB) instead with traditional 4 link and all the bells and whistles as well. However, your ultimate true end goal is what matters. I'm using mine for pre-running and it is almost useless as something will seem extremely rough but once at race pace in my Geiser TT it is all butter.

Yeah the intent is to do short course cause it fits my needs better, and if I somehow later decide I want traditional links it’s only a matter of swapping the links out and repositioning shocks (so I’m told)

The runner is seriously my favorite vehicle I’ve owned. I got the photoshoot coming up next weekend for it. But after the I’ll be getting it dirty. My daughter picked cobalt blue pearl. I almost did it. But then was like shit I’ll look exactly like ltdsc if I do. And that I can’t have. Although I do have a 3.5 not a +2 lol. Got a few more things left to do to it. Then it’ll be done till next year

Currie 9” and cantilever. But that’ll be next year. For now I just got the poo metaltech lt rear with upper and lower links. Kept the rear cheap but capable for east coast since it’s just temporary

I thought about adding the king bypasses to the rear. But I’ll be putting in coilovers and bypasses next year.

Depends what part of Texas too. Here in West Texas at El Paso/Ft. Bliss the terrain varies so much and kind of similar to that of Baja.

Might need to go mach Turkey out there.

DUDE! Supposedly Chappelle is going to do a stand up over in El Paso if it hasn't sold out yet with John Stewart.
