CX bikes mostly, mtb is not much of an issue with a dropper.

Leer 100XQ. Love the look of the borderless windows. The side windows just barely open outwards to vent in air (it has screens on the inside) which has been extremely usefull for camping. Got it used for $1300, new they are $2300-2500. Very happy camper....haha

I only have one bike with a dropper. I have to tilt my bike when putting it in the truck but it’s not a big deal. This cap and truck combo is better than the 2015 with the Snugtop Hiliner.

First major addition to my Taco: SnugTop Rebel. Got the truck late-April, and ordered the shell almost right away. Going back to the 90’s I haven’t owned a pickup without one and was kind of going thru withdrawals without it. I wished I measured the distance from center of hub to bottom of fender on the rears before the canopy, but post-install I got 21 1/4” (driver) and 21 1/2” (passenger).

I had a SnugTop Cab-Hi on my 2008 Gen 2 with no issues, so went with SnugTop again hoping for the same results.

For those that sealed their tailgate, what did you use -Extang weather stipping?

How far out do the side windows open? I can only imagine they are hinged on the top and swing out on the bottom. Is that true?

    Thanks.

Hey John, that's correct they open about 1.5 inches out from the bottom, mostly near the tailgate and gets less and less as you move up to the cab.

Thank you. I just ordered a Leer 100XR with Thule Tracks and a removable front window. Thought it would be a better fit for me instead of the 100XQ.

That's fair the windows on the 100xq aren't terribly functional. Works fine for what I wanted it for though which was mostly to sleep back there. I got mine used so can't be too picky since it was $1000 less than the new price and in great shape. Hope you enjoy your cap though! Can't imagine mine without it now

How do you order the Leer 100r or 100XR? The Leer website itself says they don't make the caps for the 2017 taco, but then I see people have them. Any tips?
