ASSHOLE PARKING

I avoid Walmart as much as possible because of their tendency to collect the “less stellar” examples of humanity. They park like they look.

 

I guess it’s still in its stall, but it’s parked diagonally in the stall.

 

Easier to get a good look at oncoming traffic before pulling out of spot in most cases.

 

Use the camera and get closer to what ever the end point is, versus trying to judge how far in the front of your vehicle is and then bam the wall is there.

No to mention, its safer to back into a spot, as folks will give you the right a way then, versus when backing out of a spot, the on coming traffic has the right of way and tend not to give you a chance and then bam there is that vehicle, ask me how I know .

Also, its illegal to back out onto some roadways, because its more dangerous.

 

As mentioned already, it's far safer and easier to drive straight out of the stall versus backing out into the roadway.

I would also like to add: it gives you a chance to observe the stall before actually committing to pulling into it. You can see if there is a cart or a motorcycle or a smart car already taking up the stall before you've starting parking into it.

 

Your vehicle is also more agile with the steering being done by the "rear" axle.

Easier to back in straight than pull in straight from a close quarters perpendicular position.

 

Not to pile on, but most parking lot accidents come from backing out, and not being able to simultaneously watch the drivers side, passenger side and traffic behind (cars and pedestrian). If at all possible back in for safety reasons. Not to mention, like @CaptAmerica said, you can get all the way into a spot. Kinda hard to tell where that front point really is on our trucks...let alone any vehicle.

Ever been to the autobahn? There's many studies that show driving faster is actually safer. Weird right? If everyone drove faster, there'd be less accidents.

The quality of drivers on the Autobahns vastly surpasses the drivers in the US.

Regardless of the speed traveled, shitty drivers are unsafe.

 

Shitty drivers don't make it on the Autobahn. Oh and if your in an accident on the Autobahn, good luck getting help.
