Well yesterday i traded in my tacoma i needed something to pull the boat better and i missed having a full size truck. I used to have a 2005 ford f150 but i traded it in on the tacoma because of the bad gas mileage. I ended up buying a 2010 chevrolet silverado Z71 4x4 ext cab. which im sure i will end up getting alot of bad comments on this thread lol but i have enjoyed this site and all the help from everybody on here.

Nothing wrong with a Silverado, It's a readers choice award winner by car and driver and a JDPowers best pick for full size truck. Pictures will be nice.

PSST. In the end only you have to be happy with it, the rest of us don't matter that much.

As long as you are happy with it that is fine. May I ask why not a Tundra? Just asking.:)

Nice truck. I'm curious why you didn't go with a Tundra?

My other truck is an 09 Silverado 1500 4x4. Not Z-71, but it's my work truck.

I like the Tacoma since I have to pay to fill it up, and it's a lot more nimble, but the Silverado is comfortable.

I traded my 07 Silverado 4dr 4x4 Z71 in last year for my Tacoma because I couldn't afford making my payments any longer. While I do miss it, I sure enjoy my Tacoma just as much.

I love the silverados. Drove them for 4 years when I was a landscaper back in college. If I needed a work truck I would have bought a Silverado, but I wanted a recreation vehicle for the next 15 years, thats why I bought a Tacoma.

    x2.

The Silverado's are second to Toyota Trucks imho. Just a lot more powerful. Seeing some of the older Chevy's in the fleet, they're reliable but contstant little things go wrong. Rear main leaks...

I don't blame you, the extra $$$ can add up if you don't watch those MPGs.

If you don't mind I'm curious about how much they gave you on your 09 trade in. I also have an 09 and I'm curious how the value is holding up.
