I don’t think it would look bad with colormatched letters, but I have to say my bumper bar covers the letters lol.

Just installed mine today, install was pretty easy as long as you take your time to not break any little plastic pieces. Also had to use pliers to remove the rubber weatherstripping on top.

    Alright guys mine is installed!!!

Arrived in great condition. All markings and fastener holes and slots are accounted for.

The Toyota letters fit in only one way, so you can't install it upside down. It takes (8) self tapping screws (provided) to connect to the grille. The (4) on the outside of the letters didn't seem long enough but are staying in, accept (1), one won't tap into the plastic and falls out.

Disassembly of the surround from stock insert is tedious, but not difficult, just pay attention and don't pull too hard.

Installation is quick & easy. Used the stock weather stripping on the new insert, with no problems. I was even able to peel off the stock vibration foam and reinstalled it on the new insert.

    I'm very happy! Thanks @CaliRaisedLed

Also I didn’t take pics really but for removal here is some basic written directions.

First install the toyota letters onto the new grill. 8 screws, the 4 in the middle I was able to get tight, the 4 on the sides didn’t get tight but still threaded on a little.

    Remove your stock grill.
On the back side there is 12 or 14 torx screws. I used a size 15 but I think T20 is the correct size.

Next you will need to unhook the clips from the stock insert. I used a flatblade screw driver to push them up lightly, then used my thumb to push the tab down so it didn’t get caught on the insert. Slowly work your way around the whole insert until you get them all removed.

Once you get that removed there will be some weather stripping on your insert you need to transplant onto the new grill.

I used pliers to squeeze the clips together then push the clip in with the pliers and help yourself by lightly pulling up from the weatger stripping. Most of them are on the back side of the insert, but two of them are on the front. The fronts are only accessible after surround has been removed.

Install the weather stripping on the new grill, then lightly press the surround and insert back together. Double check on the backside that all clips are seated securely. Reinstall the torx screws, and slap that bad boy on your truck.

I’d say the longest thing for me was finding a darn torx bit for my screw driver. Good luck everyone.
