Ah ok I got ya. I get the feeling custom fabbed fenders might be a lot of work over glass. Is it the material that you don’t like about glass? I’m currently on the east coast, but my mantra is if I can’t fit then I probably shouldn’t be there anyway.

The +2 kit will pair nicely with the shock relocation in the rear. But I would recommend going with bypasses for the rear and a custom leaf pack for best results. Then in about 2 years we'll help ya make the jump to 3.5 and sua or links

Eh, both material and I don't think I'm moving enough wheel around to make them mandatory yet. I'd rather get more downtravel than up, if that makes any sense. I'm sure I'll eventually have to go to them but that means reshaping my front bumper and stuff as well.

Hahaha, perfect -- looking forward to spending more money on it.

I am looking at the U402, custom archive springs or the RXTs for the leaf pack, unless you have any other recommendations I should look into. I have an RTT, water tank, bumper and soon a swingaway on the back most of the time so I've been looking at more of an expo rated/designed spring.

In my opinion, if you’re carrying that much weight you’re better off with spring over. For the sole reason that I would assume based on your location and the gear you’re carrying that you’ll be primarily low speed trails and mainly exploring. If that’s the case a replacement leaf pack is probably fine. A nice +2 kit and shock relocation if you really want it and go have fun.

Don’t get caught up in overbuilding for your uses just because the parts are out there (been there done that). Not to say don’t use quality parts and fab.

That is an accurate statement regarding my build. I'm thinking the RXT springs will round out my rear setup nicely until I decide to go and do a +2 and relocation and all that jazz. Hopefully those springs will be easy to swap over -- I've heard of people running them with a relocation and new hangers, so that's good.

Okay, why? Please explain, if you don't mind. Where I am I don't necessarily need huge suspension compression, I just want better trail maneuverability and the ability to keep more wheels on the ground over bad terrain.

Droop is great, but with little or minimal uptravel, as you come across bumps and rocks along the trail, the wheel has little room to move up and out of the way so you will be constantly bottoming out or riding on the bumps. I believe the ideal ratio was something like 40/60% up/down travel. That being said, it is difficult to get much uptravel with soa since the leafs being on top the axle, you lose room between them and the frame, especially with a bigger multi leaf pack

No problem. That being said, with as much weight as you will be carrying, I would still recommend bypasses in the rear for tunability, but would maybe think about adding the quick compression adjusters. That way you can dial the bypasses in with the quick adjuster somewhere in the middle, then you'll be able to easily make adjustments if your load is significantly lighter or heavier than usual

    What he said.

It'll ride like shit no matter what if you go to far one way or the other.

Gotcha, so a double/triple bypass with clicker? I wasn't even aware that was an option, haha.

So the guy that did my third put 4.86 gears back in by mistake (I asked for 5.29) you guys think it’s worth regearing the front again or should I just keep the 4.86? Maybe just put some headers and cam gears to get more ponies?

He going to charge labor again to put 5.29 in? 37's and it not being your dd I'd lean towards trying to get the 5.29's installed

Does anybody know where these go? The big pieces are pretty much straight forward. This is the new DMZ box framing kit.
