Aren't the 01-04 flares secured with holes in the fenders that I don't have? Plus, I'm with Zane - the 98-00 look better.

I wish there were some way to have the GFC a bit lower - I don't love it over the cab, but I guess you need that for sleeping length. Hopefully there is one for a first gen eventually... but who knows - our trucks are getting old... so you can't sell as many...

Mayb find he gormmet for the high side line they look about the same size, but probably any 1” plug will fit and just cut a hole for the line

Don't you live like 3 minutes from Camelback? How about you hop in that nice cool Tacoma and drive it down there. Bring the parts guy out, point at the hole and say "I want the piece that goes there." :boink:

Uses the same bolt holes. Then just use double sided tape where the clips go.

Im more of a fan of now flare look personally..

but if you get sick of painted the truck brown you can easily add the flare. I don't think they look bad at all really.

on the 3rd gen extended cab it didn't poke out too far. But yeah, i like stuff lower..but the way you drive, you wouldn't have issues anyways :luvya:

I'm going to the junkyard, anyone need anything from a 1996 4Runner Limited?

It has a rear locker

Definitely looking forward to some photos. I saw mention somewhere of a first gen specific height so there's no weirdly large gap between the cap and the overhang.

Sort of in the mindset that I might build my own some day...

Are those the ones with the nice leather seats with lumbar support that people swap into our trucks?

There has to be some gap... since the bed and cab flex independently. At least it seems to me there would have to be.

And in other news, I'm officially on the hunt for a 97-98 4Runner, for the lady.
