Yeah, well, when people tell me "a couple of years ago" I initially think of the early 2000s, lol. 10 years ago was 1995. And I hear it gets worse as you get older

I remember that. I was living in Hampden/Wilbraham area at the time. Tornado in June. A couple microbursts after that. Hurricane Sandy. And a nor'easter that ripped through October and cancelled Halloween. Lost power for a week during that. Pretty much a weather appocalypse that year. The tornado actually went down my street.

I realized our high school seniors are the last class born in the 90s, and even then most of them were 2000.

Heard what I thought was a gunshot in front of my place the other night. Just found a green tipped 9mm on the front lawn.

Got what I think is the big shit taken care of, sort of. The tree that was across my yard is chopped up. Cut up the other that was partially on the road. Wires are back up and attached to the house since they got ripped off. What's left to do is chop up a shitload of branches that fell behind the shed, and the big monster tree that fell on the side into the wetlands. Just gonna leave it there, but gonna at least trim the branches so it doesn't look like shit. Now we wait for power to come back... Whenever that may be..

My big ass husqvarna 460 rancher fucked shit up. Love it!

    Hey Nuno!
Good to hear. You need a beer or three.
Hoping you get things up and running soon.
Shit got really messed up there yesterday. Makes you realize how quick it can go bad.
All the best to you Brother.
    Is there anything you need?

Yeah man... Shit got bad real fast down here. It's surreal driving to get to places, and seeing all the destruction. Just gotta get to work and get shit done. Thanks for offering Chris, but all good here. Don't need anything for now. Staying with my parents who have power. Now just gotta wait for power to come back and finish the clean up.

Like you found a gun that had the end of the barrel painted green? Or a shell casing?

I hear lots of gunshots here--never think much of them. Usually from the woods behind me. I don't have a whole lot of land because it stops at the river, but on the other side there's probably 100 acres of woods before you hit a road again. I assume it's target practice based on how many shots I hear at once.

I can be pretty confident no one died when I hear them. I think the crime rate in my town is practically negative. Probably the same with the VT town I border. We pretend what's south of us doesn't exist.
