Our saab was hard to get into 1st at a stop. Folks, including me, tried three different factory fluids until it was found that Redline nailed it.

There are folks here that have used amsoil in the transmission. I've only used OEM fluids or Redline now and in the past. Redline has always exceeded my expectations and made slick shifts out of what were notchy boxes. I never felt that about the 2nd or 3rd Gens that I drove, but there was a bit of room for improvement.

Yeah. It is dead simple to swap fluid:

It is just a good forearm workout with all the pumping.

If you're moving around in 2nd at 4mph you are damaging your engine. The engine is making almost no power aNd oil pressure is very low at those RPMs.

Stays at or above 1k rpm and it's not growling or stuttering but I'll take your word on it. Thanks for the heads up

Sorry, I disagree. Parking lot speeds / stop-n-go traffic in 2nd gear is just fine. It seems as long as the tach is around 1k, the motor feels happy, even in higher gears.

Now, if I want to actually accelerate, 1,500rpm or above.

Can't be true, 1000 rpm is 10.6 mph in 2nd gear. My 2017 growls at 8mph in 2nd on level ground. You wrote that you can drive smooth at 4mph Which from my experience is not true. my Truck feels very unresponsive at that speed and gear.

Sorry I lied... i dont ever use the digital speedo. Still doesn't shutter and doesn't growl unless I go even slower. It is very low rpm so I probably won't keep doing this.

Well the new master fixed it. The clutch feels better than before.
Installing the master was very crappy. I needed to actually unhook the hard and soft line so the whole clutch assembly could be removed. There's two bolts that are very hard to get to and needed the lower dash taken apart and fuse box moved.
    New master:

Added 15% all the way around and 50% on windshield and did a faux pro grill to see if I'll like it more than my grater. Also used chemical guys clean slate and put on some fresh polish and wax to replace factory. Not sure what's next? Sliders? Skids?

Manual is defiantly the only way to go and let’s be honest, real men drive manuals. I get to bored in an automatic F9F2CB1F-FA6D-4B9C-98E0-87BCF81CD344.jpg
