Has anyone ever done a 3” body lift and not messed with suspension for our 5 luggers? Thinking about a performance accessories 3” and 31/10.5r15s. But please tell me if this is a bad idea E401B54E-9B75-44CE-8F3F-E7F3ED9A6886.jpg

3” body lifts arnt recomend for a number of reasons, mainly if you plan on every taking your truck off road

won't i still have better travel with only a body lift instead of compressing it more with strut spacers?

No your suspension will remain exactly the same all you get to do it put bigger tires

Got a lot of stuff lol
With the spacers we use it only really stiffens the suspension than remove travel. Also with a spacer/aal you gain more load capability. One thing to consider with a body lift is you have to extend some thing like your gas filler and steering column. For 31s I would suggest a spacer way more than a body lift.

Here's my travel with a 3" spacer and 235/75/r15 (the rear has a shackle flip and an aal )

Also spacer/aal lifts are wayyyyy cheaper lol

Body lifts while being a easy way to get a 3” lift isn’t really practical if you plan to ever off-road. It keeps all your suspension exactly the same but puts the body way higher changing your center of gravity as well as there is now more added leverage from the body on to the spacers which can cause them to break or twist doing hard off-roading. You also don’t achieve any added ground Clearance because you left the frame on the ground andjyst lifted the body. Lastly you will look dump because when you look at your truck from the side with a 3” body lift there will be a huge gap between the body and frame

You will also have to extend break lines, bumpers brackets, fuel neck, steering column, drop your radiator and im sure there is more

Now if you wanted to do something like a 1” body lift with suspension lift just to help clear the tires more then thats ok. A 1” body lift is about max you want to go
