It is with great reluctance that I’m parting out my 85 Toyota pickup. Solid front axle, manual 4x4. I’ll consider selling the whole truck for the right price but would prefer to part out. I have to fund a LT truck lol. Does NOT run. Needs a battery, and fluids. No title as of yet. I’m working on getting a title but it’s taking time. PM me with your best offers. Shipping on buyers dime and if your local I’ll deliver large parts. Once I break even everything will be going for low prices.

    Truck as is for 2500$

22r motor with brand new head/valve train and water pump 700$
Front axle with stock locking hubs for 550$
    W56 tranny/tcase 700$

These items and maybe the larger body pieces I’ll deliver local to Oceanside/San Diego/Los Angeles cleaned up.

Truck looks almost complete. Parting out due to title and smog issues? I’d rather help to get it running before it gets gutted.

What's keeping the truck from running? Miles on the engine?

Can you elaborate? I have a ‘98 Tacoma I bought with no title and only a bill of sale. Person I bought it from is not the last registered owner so I’m dead in the water.

This happened to me with an ‘81 Corona. I bought it from someone who got it at an auction after the owners donated it to charity and it got fixed up by blind kids or whatever. Ended up having to track down the original owners and drive an hour and a half to have them sign some things. But they did tell me some fun stories and gave me the original factory keys. Nice people but it was a pain in the butt for a $1000 car.

So your vehicle has to be a certain age, 15 or 20 years old. You need a bill of sale. You fill out the paperwork from the VT, and pay the tax on the vehicle based on Its kbb value. And then they send you plates and registration.

You take the VT registration to your state bureau and have it transferred into your state. Pretty dang simple.

If you youtube it you will find all the info you need.... here, i did the work for you...

VT does it for the tax money. I paid them essentially $600 for license plates and registration paperwork.

I had no other options. Hope this helps.

I feel like you would make more money if you got it titled like mentioned above through Vermont than selling it for parts. Shame to see it like that.

Thing is, the parts on these sell for a lot. Solid axle, engine, tranny and bed all sell for a lot. The bed on this one is good because it doesn’t have rust. It’s hard to find one like that.

Don't come to TW and expect us to help you save money.
We're going to make you buy stuff you don't need. That's how TW works.
