little update for you guys. got dropped from the Sheriff academy yesterday. doing some exercises in the mud and my right knee kicked out to the right pretty bad. i kept pushing along. Instructor came over and asked if i needed to see the medic (guess he noticed how swollen my knee had got at that point). sat with the medic for a minute and then told him i wasnt going to give up. Was able to keep going for maybe another 10 or 15 minutes before the senior instructor and medic came over and pulled me to the side. they didnt want me to injure my knee more and prevent myself from becoming a LEO later on, so they dropped me. A few higher ups from the department came over and told me they didnt want to but it needed to be done. then told me they expect to see me back in January for the next academy as a "hire on" for the department and they will gladly sign off on alot of my hire paperwork if i can show that i've healed up. waiting to get an MRI on my knee this week (was told it could be the meniscus). then the process of actually getting hired on and healing up. Few perks for waiting until Jan, Wont be in the academy the entire summer, have some time to study all the material before going, i already have the $1000+ in uniforms and gear, and i have a decent shot at being hired on and being paid through the academy.

truck went into limp mode today. Traction Controll Off, and Check Engine light came on, and the acceleration was absolute shit. Ran the codes and got P2442 and P2440 "secondary air injection system switching valve stuck open bank 1 and 2" reading on the forums, it seems like guys had to drop 800-2k to get it fixed/replaced. would it be worth just popping that off and trying to clean it before worrying about dropping that much money? i assume i can just take it off and scrub it down with carb cleaner or something, but wanted to check if you guys have ran into this issue first

    Dude, sorry about your knee!

Don't worry about the truck. That is now covered under warranty. I'll find that for you.

People are receiving letters. You've moved around a lot, so that might be a problem. GO to a dealer and take this:

thanks again @scocar, got set up to take the truck to the dealership tomorrow morning. since they need to test the vehicle and see that it is in limp mode, I'm just going to leave it alone. I was going to disconnect the battery to see if that worked and I could use it today, but I guess I will just limp it over to them so it doesn't magically disappear lol
