Maybe a dumb question, maybe not, but it seems like the majority of people are opting for the 2.50 size as opposed to the 2.25. I was wondering why? Does it really make that much of a difference or is this just a case of follow the leader. It just seems more logical to get the same size muffler to match the piping rather than adapting both ends. I'm just asking because I don't know.

From what i've been told and have also noticed, there will be a very slight increase in sound from the muffler. Not much, but a little. And as far as adapting both ends, its not a hard process at all especially if you take it to a muffler shop. Hope this helps.

I went with the 2.25" either way they have to play with the ends to make it fit. Watch the last video if you're wondering

Ok so the longer muffler is more quiet right? But they don't make a 2.25" long one right? So if I get the long one (17.5") I have to get it in 2.5"?

From what I read you should get the 18 in 2.5", but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok. I just want the quitest one. Will it being .25" wider affect install cost at a shop?

You have TRD correct? If so then that is the width of your piping. SR5=2.25" and TRD=2.5". So if you have TRD sport, or TRD off-road then it will be 2.5".

Yeah for whatever reason the stock exhaust on any TRD is .25" wider than regular or bone stock.

Count me in for the 13SC250... We just pay the vendor directly when we call to order and tell him we are included in the TW group buy?
