The timing last year was Dec/January. I was looking at 17s in Nov/Dec and the first 18s started showing up in December. When I finally committed in the first week of February, it was pretty much 2018s.

...^^^... IMO, it’s add on high-profit-junk that the “SET Cartel” puts on a lot of vehicles.

Sounds like that Ibex stuff my dealership was trying to sell me.

My dealer (GST Cartel) calls it Vehicle Protection Package, but it's distributor (factory or port) added. I didn't contest because it was on the truck and was on the FACTORY window sticker. There were four levels of it. The item ID is P1 through P4. The P3 had a "paint protectant", minimal clear seal coverage of door edges, handles, mirrors, and interior Fabric Guard with some other things. The level 4 had hood, front, etc. much more detailed. Cost ranged from $200-$500, but considering what equivalent 3M would cost, not bad. Further, it had a written warranty that stated if I couldn't get it out, they would try... and if not, replace. That may be a bit of a battle, but it's better than most add-on where it's an outta-site warranty performed by bob's body.

So, are you saying it’s an actual protective film? Or a wax like product? Ibex was a wax like product they were trying to sell me for 1200$. I passed

What I have is an actual clear panel that fits certain parts (I have P3) There is a protector in the clear handle well. Over the vertical edge on the doors, on the front face of the painted part of the mirror, etc. They included some fluff things, like this Toyota paint "luster guard" wax, etc. But I have a written warranty book... can't recall what it calls itself.

Picked up my inferno 4x4 OR DCSB with tech for $33,883 after military rebate ($34,383 with no discount) in Denver. No dealer fees and the only dealer that would honor the military rebate along with the quoted price. Also gave me far more than I expected for my beat up Subaru.

2018 DCSB Auto, TRD OR 4x4 in Barcelona Red. $33,400 + TTL.

I walked out of the dealership twice and stated that they shouldn't call me unless they can find this exact truck without any dealer add ons AT ALL.

They called 2 days later and said they found one ( it had floor mats as only add on) and I agreed to buy. I notice it has the clear paint protection stickers that I believe are called "TOYO-GUARD" but no charges appeared for them. My understanding is that its nearly impossible to avoid the port add ons in Florida so I suspect they were just REALLY willing to make the deal.

He is also in South Carolina. Youre in SoCal. Big diff in price leeway. Most dealers here in CA go tell you to pound sand. Esp Santa Monica and Burlingame. Haha.

With that sort of spread, you could fly and drive back to make money. You could even do fly RT and transport and make money.

JBL is the only difference from my understanding other than voodoo blue as a color choice, the snorkel is an option.
