    A little a this, a little a that...
I say fuck it. I got mine in the bed under a tarp. I’ve only had it for a couple months and so far so good with one big trip out to Moab (~2500 miles) including a bunch of dirt and rain. I see a bunch of folks with these fridges exposed. Inside just isn’t an option for me. I’ll report back when it craps out.

You live in CA. He lives in Virginia. I am sure you are very unaware, but the rest of the US is not rappers, biking babes, and sunshine 330 days of the year.

Yeah lot's of people run it in the bed with good luck, but it's risky for such an expensive piece of equipment. I am assuming that's why ARB made a weather resistant specific one. I really hope to get mine in my bed one day but I get nervous.

*EDIT* Though supposedly my Dometic is weatherproof?

I would be nervous though I think either way. And if I did have it in the bed it will be under a RTT with a cover at minimum.

I wonder if that is the new marketing to encourage an elements purchase...... I don't keep mine outside but I've definitely hosed it off after a dusty trip

Howdy there, are the cfx series fridges rugged enough to mount directly to a tray? It will have solar overhead, so that will block out most mid-day sun, but it will still get the evening sun. Also, it will get rained on, and I don't want to have to dismount the fridge every time I hose my truck off. The website says "ok for extreme environment operations"...but what does that really mean? I already have your cdf-11 as a center console, I love it !!

    That's what I sent
