Looks epic! How do you find the weight of it? I found when I had mine it was a beast....

Ah I don’t know but my truck sagged pretty good with the cap and slide. Why I got rid of my slide. Kinda miss it but what can you do

 

Cap has to be about 200lbs. Mind you you had a contractor cap which is about 350-400 if I'm not mistaken. What was the weight capacity of your slide? Mine is rated for 1200 lbs even weight. You must have had a 2000lbs rated one. I do have expo leafs sitting on sumo springs so I tend to have minimal sag.

 

Yeah the contractor cap was very heavy, and I think the slide was 1200 as well. Maybe with the cap it through everything. All i know is with just the cap the truck was over 6k lbs empty in the back. Mind you I had skids and what not. I’m hoping it’s significantly lighter now that I put it on a diet.

 

Looks awesome. Just need to figure out that handle eh.

 

I welded the next morning at 8 and ran into a thunderstorm. It'll fit now just need to see whether I want to use the same one. I think I'll get something thicker.

 

AEV actually releasing stuff for my truck, not just SEMA after all.
And CBI is doing stuff too. Wont be long till we all own chevys, Leo will be 1/300 the way there soon

 

I'm just gathering parts to see if I end up doing it. You never know.... I might be selling a 63 install kit. I am looking into making stainless skids....

 

This is how I installed it. 1 3/4" C channel primed painted and secured with 2 grade 8 7/16th bolts

 

I would totally get an elephant decal and make the snorkel the snout

 

i'd rather jerk off with a cheese grater than drive anything GM lol.

I've been impressed with yours but I still hate GM and will never own one. I'd sooner buy another Jeep.
