That's why it has this adjustment screw too, so I could make my AC idle like 1750 haha

Kinda crude but I suppose it makes sense since this is the first year of the Taco and the AC was a higher option, so I imagine they wanted to make it completely separate to add in. On the other hand you could use one of these to make an electronic idle up for winching

I have all the parts to do a hand throttle, bought them a long time ago. Never got around to it. Trucks been fine winching without it. The cruiser has an oem part for attaching a hand throttle for winching but again I wonder why they didn't do this instead because it would be super easy for the factory.

This is easy as wiring a switch but not variable without an Allen key on hand. Plus the valve is $200... Hope it never breaks haha

ooof. Yeah i'll go for the hand throttle haha

We have never been in heavy winching situations where we would really need it anyways. If I were to go do the Mackenzie trail..id probably do it before hand

nah by heavy i mean long periods of winching.

Zane's predicament was closer to that then my situation.

Only other time i've done winching that would straight a trucks electrical system and the winch was with my dad trying to get him up a super steep hill that was super loose big rocky gravel while towing 5000lbs of concrete. Had his winch snatch blocked off a ford at the top of the hill with every extension we had and it still barely did it. Dad's truck was near overheating when we got it up finally.

Think I'll get little metal brake and some sheet aluminum to make a heat shield over the header. So my new intake tube is even better protected. Intake temps are insane otherwise. Those holes on the cyl head should hold it well.

It's really hard on the headers, causes them to crack at welds. I thought about the header shield stuff too which is better but even then they recommend wrapping the whole side of the thing and it'll just pick up mud if I go that low.

They are... That's why I'm back to make a heat shield haha. Solid headers but they don't give you lots of heat protection options if you aren't a street truck

The inner ricer says that's a good idea. The part of me that actually wheels this thing says that's how I permanently fuck something up.
