Well, they need a good home!!! and I'm sure you provide that for them. Got one of my dogs as a kid - always shared my candy with them (didn't know candy was bad for them back then) and one followed me home. Mom swore I bribed him to follow me, I didn't.

Anyone know train horn signals ???

I live within 3/4 mile of a major North / South rail line which there is (2) tracks operated by BNSF and Union Pacific . Also the section I'm near is a 70mph section with no crossings for 30 plus miles .I'm in between to major rail yards the San Bernardino and Barstow yards

The last couple months I keep hearing train horns on some trains but not all of them and curious what the signal means !!

I keep hearing a long blast followed by up to 3-4 short blasts and like i mentioned not every train does this

Could this be for animals or people walking on/near the tracks ??

Here's a list of train horn signals from BNSF

    Happy Friday all!

I'm well on my way to making it through the first week at the new salt mine. Orientation is going well - evidently I'm surprising them buy the speed I'm picking up on the technology. I think we'll be okay. Still working out the commute. Going in early is fine, however, coming home is a longer ride. I go the same basic route as my old job and made a wrong turn yesterday going there instead of the new place. The damn pony hasn't caught on yet... :anonymous:

Kinda same for me. Dogs show up. Heard a scratching at the door. Opened the door and this dog just walks in like she knows the place. Walks around and sits and looks at me. Gave her some water. Sits again. I gave her a biscuit. Our dog wasn’t happy. She never barks but she sure did this time. Good thing she was old and not able to climb stairs. Saw a car driving slow and yelled at them. Yeup looking for their dog. One of three incidents with stray dogs.

Can’t own a dog now. Not home enough time. Not fair to the animal. Maybe later.
A big commitment. Had two. Don’t regret it. Don’t miss the poop patrol or the hair constantly needing attention.
