Sorry for spamming, looked over your pics, and I can't make out the colors... @Redmann I pulled this from that other post 20180517_224414.jpg that's how you soldered them, right?

    No

    Yes

    Yes

    Yes.

Well.... I soldered them like @EatSleepTacos and @fatfurious2 said were the colors on their trucks. They were both nice enough to crawl under theirs and take pics for me. @EatSleepTacos even took it one more step and told me which was drivers side and which was passenger side.

My next step is to ohm out the wires. I think it's in that thread we've recently brought back to life, but there's a page out of a manual that shows resistance values. It will tell me is theres a bad wire or not. I noticed one of the wheel sensor cables was pulled taught against one of the factory plastic clips. The wires are pretty thin so this may have broken some things. Or a bad sensor. I'm changing the front pads and rotors tomorow (in the rain again). I MIGHT have time to get my meter on the wires.... I'll let ya know what happens.

It's just that I need to troubleshoot the issue. I made a fix to the onviously broken wires but that doesnt mean other things were damaged. The shitty part is the rain. I was soaked after working on it today. I brought my rain gear home from work tonight though. I can actually sit Indian style under the bed now with the new leaf springs haha.

    That link looks interesting.

Yeah that's a good point that you may have broken other shit. I didn't really think of that. Although I'd imagine if that techstream works it would make your life a whole lot easier.

I was always under the impression it had to run on XP, but it says it can run on 64 bit windows 10, so for that price I may buy it just to try it.

If you get it I'd be VERY interested to see what all it can do. I don't know much about it, but I've heard it's very handy.

    Everything TW members recommend
@Redmann - I went through a lot of what you’re going through right now except that I physically didn’t have broken wires that I could see and solder together. But I put a lot of stress on the wiring that I pulled apart the wiring INSIDE the abs wiring casing assembly which was not visible.

Could that have happened in your case? I know that you had visible damage, but was there enough force that also caused internal wire damage that you just can’t see?

If that’s the case, you’re probably gonna have to change out the entire ABS wire assembly like I had to (which I tried hard to avoid, but ultimately had to in the end.)

    Just a thought...

Crap.... Yeah, might have to put your meter to the wires..

    That's cool!
I was going to get one too, but my 'puter was "Designed in California".... Lol (I gave up fixing my crashed laptop a few years ago)
^ what he said.. It goes back to your idea of testing wires.

Good luck! And hopefully it'll stop raining on your parade soon!

Thanks guys! Even though it sounds like I'm aggravated, I actually enjoy this. Well, everything but the rain! Hah. This is basically what my job is all about too. Have problem, find problem, fix problem and only use my meter and a print. When something doesnt work the way I think it should, I act like a child hahaha!

That’s a great point. If there was enough strain to rip it off at the connector, it’s very likely it internally ripped too. @Redmann sure you already know how to do this, but on Tyler’s truck when I broke his abs wires we used the continuity tester to figure out which side we broke. Worked like a charm! That’s what I’d do with both the passenger and drivers side from the wheel up to where you just reconnected it.

Yep. Exactly. So now that theres no connector, it becomes a bit tougher. I may cut it apart and put weatherproof bullet type crimps on the ends. I've used them for my motorcycle when I rewired that and they work great.
