I went the next size up on rims and tires from factory size. Had to get spacers, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs, Bilstein 5100 series shocks, Marlin Crawler clutch.
I have a 95 tacoma xl 4x4 4 cyl 2.7 ltr. And I didn't have much choice in off road tires with factory rim size so I went an inch larger in size to get fierce attitude tires. Mechanic found a broken shock and a leaf springs broke completely in half. With these new tires on the rub on the frame so I had to get spacers. I got these spacers from Glacier Off-road in Kalispell. I wanted spidertrax but the shop owner never heard of them. He ordered a pair he said he trusts. He is avoiding wanting to tell me the name of the company who makes them in California. I think this guy is a shiester. Here are pics of the spacers. Are these correct in how I installed them and aren't they not as safe sense the rim doesn't sit back on hub. I used anti seize around where spacers rest and lock tight on studs. 80 lb torque wrench serting. 1.5" spacers

I'm putting a 3 inch lift kit on it as well. Will this create any premature wear on any bearings or bushings. I am getting new struts for the front. Rancho., nitrous for back shocks and new leaf springs for the back. I think 3 inch lift is plenty. Any helpful advice is welcome.

im sure theres nothing wrong with the spacers themselves but your studs are definitely not long enough.

Yes, the nuts look like they are barely on the studs.

Those look like BORA spacers. The name isn’t on them anywhere?

How thick are those spacers? Lug bolts are deffinently way to short.

Spidertrax are a well-known brand for many different makes. The fact the guy has not heard of them means he gets money from this vendor for selling the product.

I would return them if you can and either get the Spidertrax or get .75" or 1" BORA spacers (will bring those tires in a little closer to stock). And also get longer studs as mentioned above so the spacers can fully bolt on and the stud protrudes just a tad at the top. The last thing you want is undo stress on the lug stud and have it shear off on the back country or highway.

BORA spacers are "hub centric" with the ring in the center.

Yours look super sketchy and like they’re barely holding on. I would get different ones or better yet, rims with the correct backspacing so you don’t have to worry about an extra part failing

    Good advice ^
your right the BORA spacers are all hub centric

OP I don't even know how you got 80 ft-lb with only 1 maybe 2 threads on the studs but that isn't safe at all I would't drive it with those spacers on

That seems shady as hell if the guy won't even tell you who makes them

He won't refund them cause they are a special order item. I showed the spacer to a Toyota employee and he said you are find as long as you have minimum of 4 turns on nut. I had about 12 or 13 half or 3/4 turns. I will look into the bora.

Those must be super long nuts if you got that many turns on them and they are still showing that much thread left. If you have 6 or 7 threads that would be ok to drive but I would still look into getting some hub centric spacers.
your just relying on the studs to support the weight and not the hub with those spacers.

For another reference this are my Bora 1" Spacers. The nut threads all the way down on the stud. I was suprised at how tight the fit was with these spacers. I had a little nick in one of my hubs and the spacer wouldn't go on until i sanded it off

They very well could be good spacers, as long as they're both wheel and hub centric, but the fact that he's not being straight with would worry me. I would just buy what you know works in the Spidertrax and call it a day. You'll rest easier knowing that your wheels won't be flying off.

First off, those spacers are not hub-centric. Correct wheel specs are the best route, however when you have no choice, hub-centric is the only way to go in terms of spacers. Lug-centric spacers are no bueno.

Return/sell those and get hub-centric Sipdertrax spacers.

Spidertrax only has one option for a 95 taco and that is 1.5" and they are identical to mine but blue. I will need to get new studs on hubs to work with these spacers. My factory lug nuts are lug centric with a shank to center wheel.

wrong truck, this is the 95.5 Tacoma, not the 79-95 "pickup" / "hilux"

With 3” lift, you may not need the spacers anymore. I would recommend the bilstein 1500 shocks, front and rear, OME front coils, and either an add-a-leaf or a full OME dakar pack in the back.

You will also want a diff drop kit for the front to lower the cv angles and preserve your cv joints.
