Anyone local have a pair of 315/75/16's on wheels that I could borrow for like 10 minutes? I just want to see how gutless it will make my truck until I can regear.

Hey, anyone here do security camera installs, or know something about them? I'm getting some quotes, but think I might save some jack by DIY...

Yeah the little 3RZ struggles on the big hill on 1431 with 285's and stock 4.30's, but its not terrible. Just curious how bad it would be on 35s

Having trouble finding an upgrade for 3rd gen brake rotors and pads without going BBK. I hate to go to drilled and slotted, but anyone have any experience with PowerStop kits?

    https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3794145&cc=3354143&jsn=393

I may just go with OEM Toyota stuff as well. Anyone know where to get a better deal that the stealership on OEM Toyota stuff?

Edit: Also, anyone know if the 2nd gen and 3rd gen share the exact P/Ns for rotors and pads?

Pretty happy with my Blink XT wireless/Wi-Fi cameras from Amazon for live feeds to my phone and motion detection recording. Probably a 10 second delay from the time the cameras detect movement to the time I get the notification on my phone. I also have an older 4 camera system that records 24/7 with backup battery so if the house loses power its still recording but I can't access it from online.

    Damn skippy.
Lemme in that group hug, fellas, because I agree that it is the good stuff. Surprisingly awesome.
I have two systems, a Swann 4 camera and an Arlo 5 camera system. Arlo is HANDS DOWN the easiest to use and manage. Plus cloud storage.

The downside to the Swann is running the goddamn wires. About killed myself.

The downside to the Arlo is the needed investment in rechargeable 123 batteries.

All things being equal, I prefer changing out rechargeable batteries than I do running wire 22 feet in the air.

The Blink cameras use 2 AA batteries and claim a 2 yr life on them. I've had mine for over a year and the app has a battery monitor, which lets you know when the batteries are running low, mine are still fine and they each run a 30 second motion detected video clip with free app or paid cloud based storage. So far so good.

Thanks, Captain. I did take a look into the Arlo system, especially when it was recently on sale at Costco, but don't you have to change batteries 22 feet in the air?

I have a quote from a company here in Austin, to run 3 cameras and a DVR. The cameras would hook up to the pre run Cat5 in the house, and via that, to an ethernet jack in my office, where the DVR would sit. $2300 or $1700, (plus tax), depending on if I wanted 5MB pixel cameras and a 4TB DVR, or 2 MB pixel cameras and a 2TB DVR. I wasn't entirely freaked out by the price, but the guy did warn me 60% of the price would be labor, meaning I could potentially buy the stuff myself and do the install. The 4TB DVR, for example, is about $150.

    Group hug?! I'm in!

I just got the Swann system this go round: https://www.swann.com/us/swnvk-885804

Waiting on some bulk cable to run them as the included 60' isn't enough...

I spent way too much time over-researching systems again and then this one went on sale so I went for it.
