Ok, so i've lost some weight lately. i've just been tightening my belt but it is starting to look bad cause they get all bunched up and i have a massive bulge (looks like i'm wearing a cup under my pants) so i cant tuck a shirt in at work. i have a wedding to go to this wknd so i finally broke down and went to go buy pants. traditionally i wear 38 waiste in jeans and 40 to 42 in dress pants (dress pants are always cut bigger than jeans for some reason). so i got a pair of dockers khaki's 38x31. they fit like a glove, i had never felt pants that fit so great.... except they were too long. ok, so i'll get 38x30...... nowhere in the store is there a 38x30. so i find a 38x29. i go to put them on, and cant even get the buttons together. WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK!!! how can one pair of 38's fit like they were taylor made, and another pair of 38's in the same brand and same fit not even button up? what is the point of having fucking pant sizes if they are gonna have a 2 or 3 inch margin of error? so the only way to find a pair of pants that fit, is to find 4 or 5 38's and just try them on until a pair fits. this is not the first time i've encountered this phenomonon but its the first time it pissed me off so bad i just dropped the pants on teh floor and walked out. so now i'm just gonna have to wear my suit pants to teh rehearsal dinner. whatever. fuck pants

i'm not gonna pay for pants then pay for someone to hem them. i just want them to make pants in teh size they say they are making them

but its all pants in almost all manufactures. i've dealt with this with Lee, Levi, dockers, sonoma... all of them. there has to be a reason why they are all different sizes.

I bet the 38x30s would have fit if they had them. Don't you jus hate it when they have five pairs of every size bugger and five pairs of everything smaaler than you need, but nothing in the proper size. Grr

ive had this same problem!!! ive been dropping weight like crazy. went from a 36 (they were baggy as hell) to a 33. i didnt try on different lengths, but the same exact levi model or number or whatever just a different color and the 33x30's in each fade were not the same fit. idk what the eff they were thinking!!

try being 6'7" and weighing 185 pounds. My waist is roughly a 32 and the length needs to be at least 36. But no store carries that i have found yet!! Its the worst, so i always have ot wear 34's and its very aggravating b/c they actually don't fit, and bunch since i have to tighten the belt all the time.

i have the same issues. i fucking hate it. shitty part is... i have found that the designer pants... tend to fit the best... except they are $100+ for a single pair.

i call "the bulge" a genie weenie. i hate! the genie weenie

yeah, its annoying as hell. usually with jeans i'm technically a 31 inch inseam, but that shit is impossible to find in any make i've found so far. so i can wear 30's and look like i'm wearing high waters. or 32's, and they drag the ground which eats up the back up them, plus i hate that in the rain cause the whole bottom 1/3 of your pants are soaked. i hate being an odd size

maybe not, but i at least need to wear pants to wherever i go to take them off and dance. i love that picture btw

you should see the way jeff looks at me.... its creepy as hell. i can tell he's undressing me with his eyes

haha! that was an insane amount of fun. i have a feeling we have the most fun meets of all the chumps on this site.... especially if we're lucky enough to have Mike and his way better half with us

    haha! i'd still rather be 6'7" and 185 than 6' 230

ok, i think i found out what the deal is and why designer pants are better. my mamma explained it to me cause she asked my grandmother the same question a long time ago and my grandmother was a life long seamstress. here goes.....

so when pants are cut, they layer hundreds of layers of fabric on a big table. there is then a huge hydraulic press with a sharp edge (like a guillotine) that slowly presses down and cuts through all the layers of fabric. the fabric on top only has other fabric under it so it tends to give under the pressure before it is actually cut. the fabric closer to the bottom is near a hard surface so it doesn't give as much and is cut easier. so as a result all pants were cut at 'X' length but the ones on top are bigger than teh ones on bottom. and taht is why even though they were all cut as 38's some are bigger than others. i have no idea if that is true or not, the only source is what my mom heard from my grandma years ago. so i could be way off but it seems to make sense to me. apparently they take more effort to avoid this with alot of designer pants. so like i said, i have no idea if its right, but thats the only theory i have at the moment

Try spandex. Then you don't really have to worry about size.

makes sense to me.. the designer clothes are probably done one maybe two at a time to avoid that.
