Sued over bad review??

I disagree. Leave the original review up regardless. You can add on to it to provide further details, but I would not touch the original review. People need to know how this company treats their customers WITHOUT pressure from social media. If they make it right, at least they save some face. But it doesn't erase what they have done. Especially involving their legal team. That is ridiculous.

 

Unless he agreed not to post something like this in the waiver. That is the one thing that needs to be checked here.

 

Isn't what is posted to fb the property of fb?

They would have to sue fb.

 

Depending on the circumstance, FB could be liable for content. But that likely simply expands the liability. It doesn't transfer it.

The only other "candidate" I can think of would be 4 Wheel Parts in Langley. Letting any 4WP work on your truck is a recipe for disaster!

Curious about this too, OP what was the actual wording in the liability form you signed? Was it also non-disclosure?

 

He’s in Canada so laws are a bit different there, but in the US, he could afford new plate bumpers and other mods if they put a non-disclosure clause in the sales agreement and threatened him with a law suit over his review.

 

Still curious what was signed though, OP says liability form but who knows what it actually said
