Agreed. I did this two years ago to my truck after washing it. It took off so much more gunk. The clay bars started white but were dark gray by the time I finished. The paint felt smooth like a new car again. Looked great....but if you think waxing sucks then you’re in for a treat. It’s not something I’d want to do very often, but it looks damn good when you finish.

At least you're not taking 32 scouts camping for the weekend. I think there will be a fire building contest in order this weekend.

Looking promising. Only issue is gonna be morning high tide and the damn eddy winds. But I may just be “sick” on Wednesday so I can find the window and get out there. Hoping to go get barreled all day

Should of done that ceramic coatings stuff after you clay bared it. Supposedly that stuff makes your paint like a non stick fry pan. I wouldn't know since mine only gets washed every so often and mostly just hosed off.

Lol that truck can only do so much. I got suckered in on the overland theory before it became really popular and that truck was heavy. Luckily I didn’t brake my rear axle like others have. Always wanted to hit harder stuff in it but was always nervous since I had to drive it back home. Now I won’t be. You’ll prob hate me more once I say I’m getting a newer ford w/ 5.0 in it or a ram lol

Lake Michie (pronounced Mickey) in Durham. Heck no we don't use that crap that's what God invented the BIC lighter for! Although I know how and can even in the best of conditions it is hard and takes a long time and a bunch of energy.

I only recently heard of that. I think someone on here was coating their coilovers and I looked it up. I bet it’s expensive.

The product is pricey and having it professionally done is even more. But it's like a wax on steroids! The only thing is you have to do what you did to prep for putting it on so it's a big process.

That dude putting it on his coilovers must like the curb crawling scene.

There's supposed to be an air show at the Anderson airport this weekend.. Canadian Snowbirds, A-10 demo team, and a bunch of other stuff. They've cancelled Saturdays show because of the storms rolling through.. Sunday looks just as bad though.

Kinda disappointing cause I'm actually off and can go to it this year

Lol maybe back in the day when it was started but not today. I mean the boys can learn to do some of those things but it's biggest thing is teaching morality, leadership, and self reliance/gumption.

If I ever get a new truck I’d consider it, probably overkill for my 15 year old paint. It’s like giving me a $50 haircut. Fancy, but doesn’t change anything below the ears lol.

I clay bar once a year and wax every 6 months. The clay bar will get done in the next couple weeks, if the rain ever stops here.

I might be doing it wrong but I do a section at a time. Always worried about letting it dry too much then not getting it all off. It’s hard to see it on white paint. I use Meguiars Gold Glass.
