Gonna do an out and back? Maybe fire up the fire and eat some din or...? I maybe open for that. I have company ATM but if they get out of here early enough, I'd be down.

I'll be way too busy for a Rocky Mountain trip in July. I'll hopefully be assembling a bed rack, building custom leaf packs building a tranny and TC skid plate (unlikely I'll get to this), rebuilding the back deck at home, getting a twin-engine rating to add on to my commercial license and a flight instructor's license. Gotta get all that done before I end up back in Fayetteville mid August. I'm tired just thinking about it

Not sure if my plane could get out of Telluride. I don’t know the field elevation there. Looks like a cool place to land a plane though

KTEX is 9030 ft. It's high. I did many a running take-off from that place in the summer.

Field elevation is 9070'. They say it's highest commercial airport in the states, and one of the toughest approaches and landings due to shear and crosswinds. Too much pucker factor for me.

We'll be leaving 29th July. Doc (+ G-man) and myself (+ gf) are committed so far, and you and Dave (+ Alicia) are maybes. Still in planning stages.

Yes, much improved. It was worth the surgery.

Ouch. That brings back bad memories for me. I tore my patella about 3 years ago. Two surgeries, someone else's parts, and a lifetime's supply of PT and I still don't have full confidence in it. Hope your operation is for something easier to bounce back from

It's not. The doc already warned me it will over 36 months before I can trust it again. My MCL, ACL, and lateral meniscus belonged to someone else before I got them. They twitch for a few days but it's feel better and better every day.

He said all I allowed to do is drive to work and walk to the helicopter, then walk to the truck and drive home. No bicycle. No working out. No carrying anything over 20-30 lbs, no kneeling. He said if I wanna work out, find a swimming pool.
