Ya the truck and previous owner were in Denver. I brought it to Laramie and Cheyenne. But frequent Steamboat in the winter so who knows whats caused it.
As much as people complain about the CRC coating that Toyota does for these it seems to work okay for a bit.

lots of coating options out there.

Wish I had done my double cab. 3 winters in missouri were not nice to it. But its not gonna die on me or anything.

My other truck that as far as i know was a wyo truck its whole life doesn't really have any rust issues. But it Cheyenne or laramie spray the roads as well then you should. I know Sheridan does. Was a bit mad when i lived there for a bit when I found that out. Im used to them never spraying and just laying down gravel.

Learned a cool new skill today, plastic welding!

Took this hatch off the boat, and plastic frame just fell to pieces. It totally broke and cracked in 3 different places, and there were almost full cracks through in many other places. Took about 24 different welds and about 7 hours to finish it, but the alternative was buy a new hatch for 300 bucks that I’d have to cut out a 1/2” bigger hole anyway. So I’m pretty happy with it! And to think I almost tried to just smear on plastic jb weld. That surely would have broke

We had a nice day out in the Red Desert - Killpecker Sand Dunes and Boars Tusk area. Verifying HAM Repeater coverage for a 30 mile running race coming up in a couple of weeks.

You guys see the KM3 was finally launched?

Looks like a sipped KM2 with outer lugs from the STT Pro pretty much.

Currently taking bets for whether or no the Vision 84 D Window 15x8 3.75BS steelies I ordered will fit without caliper shaving haha. Total crapshoot, some posts say yes some no, manufacturers say yes, some places that install say no. The two main posts that said they wouldn't fit were from 03-04 tacos which are known to have a different caliper for the inclusion of VSC. But an 02 claimed they mounted right up, it's worth mentioning that the 95-04 I4 4WD and Pre-Runner tacos use a different caliper part num than any of the other models. So thus I'm taking bets haha
